These Christmas bells designs were inspired by the old American Christmas carol penned by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow in 1863. It begins with the stanza,

“I heard the bells on Christmas day,
Their old, familiar carols play,
And wild and sweet
The words repeat
Of peace on earth, good-will to men!”

I thought it was appropriate, especially now when there are people trying desperately to divide us and bring our country to its knees. I want us to remember who the Creator and Originator of peace on earth and good-will to men really is.

To that end, I’ve created two coordinating sets of bell designs, one with the words and musical notes, and one with just the musical notes.

I wanted to show these bells hanging in a church bell tower, not tossed somewhere in a mess of ropes and knots. So, I made the ropes straight in both designs and added tassles to this set.
