After some serious indecision, I decided that these are Art Deco feathers (I could have called them Art Nouveau – they’re somewhat organic – but really, they fall somewhere in between).
They’re a little different than your run of the mill Art Deco design. For one thing, they’re quite abstract–and–they have reflections. In a perfect world, they’d have long tapered quills, but I had to leave off the quills because they just didn’t contribute that much to the design. So, I kept the floofy bits that remind me of prettiest part of peacock feathers or a collection of ostrich plumes, and I got rid of the rest.
If you’d rather see them as shells or stage lights or something else, I’m good with that.

Aren’t they gorgeous?
