This abstract medallions design with a touch of glitz and glamour started out as a patch of lake water with ripples in it that reflected some dark clouds. The water created interesting designs that, when I mirrored them, created a medallion that I repeated and flipped, and then reversed to create the artwork below.

Because this design is abstract, maybe what you see isn’t medallions at all. Maybe it’s silver spoons or pendant lights. Either way, it’s an upscale design that would be amazing printed on a shiny silky material and turned into a formal dress, or used to dress up a formal dining room or living room.

Dark Medallions

I actually created these designs–with the dark medallions–first.

I would recommend not trying to mix and match the closer colorways from these two design sets. The colors don’t really work for that, and the patterns are a little too busy. But–they should coordinate well with some of my other artwork and designs.
