I’m trying to find ways to donate more money to Hurricane Helene relief efforts, and right away I thought of my six fabric collections celebrating the Smoky Mountains.
Why I am doing this: As you no doubt already know, for some reason our government doesn’t want to help the victims of Hurricane Helene. This is totally unacceptable. They’ve also been trying to interfere in private relief and search and rescue operations. If we don’t all find ways to pitch in, people affected by the hurricane may not survive–and I want to do more. I want to do as much as I can.
Lately, I’ve been busy creating more fabric mockups to showcase my designs on dresses, scarves, beanbags, and totes. I want to use them here on my website in blog posts and inside my catalog, and on social media to help customers visualize options for using my fabric prints. I also want to share the best mockups with Raspberry Creek Fabrics for use there as well. Here are a few that I thought I would show you just for fun in this post.

Variations on a Cute Beach Dress
Here it is, the end of the summer, and kids are heading back to school, but we’re still having some exceptionally warm days. I find myself longing for a visit to the beach, and then I found this cute dress. I’m working on other dress and clothing mockups as well, but in the meantime, this is really cute!

Since the month of June is known for its roses, over the past few weeks, I’ve added fabrics and wallpaper to my catalog that feature roses and stripes. The collection is now pretty much complete! Discover all of my current designs here, in Floral Roses.
And yes, it’s July now (click here for my Patriotic Americana designs), but first, I really do want to stop and smell the roses with you! Our June weather turned out weird; too hot one day, too rainy the next. But overall, we experienced cooler temps, and the local roses are still quite happy.
I found the roses that inspired this first collection at Hamann Rose Garden, on North 27th Street just south of Capitol Parkway (across from the Sunken Gardens). Cherry Parfait roses are some of the most perfect roses on the planet. I love the way the petals shade from a deep cherry red to a pale cream color in the center. Oh, and how they also smell amazing.
Isn’t this the most gorgeous and perfect Cherry Parfait Rose?
That rose inspired this toddler dress design

Today, I want to celebrate recently sold fabric designs, of which I have four. I sold three yards of the Abstract Marbled Lemon Drop fabric, one and a half yards of the Watercolor Dots Boho Plum, and a half yard each of the Line Art Frogs Green White and Red Fish Baby Blue. Even more
Today, I decided that I needed a little puzzle therapy. I guess I need to back up a little to explain… A while back, when I was creating games and little fun conversation starters for promotional events for my books, I was introduced to Jigsaw Planet. I discovered that I could upload my artwork there,
Today, I have some thoughts about about slow fashion and color trends. Slow fashion is all about buying or creating better quality clothing that wears well and lasts longer. Contrast that with fast fashion that is cheaply made, frequently bargain-basement-priced, and worn only a few times before being discarded or donated. My fabric designs are
What if you could sleep with herds of zebras? Or roam the Serengeti in your dreams? A while ago, one of my customers bought a set of king sized sheets and a pair of Euro-style square pillow shams on Spoonflower. Or, if you want to put it another way, my customer bought thousands of tiny
Ordering my designs on Raspberry Creek Fabrics is a little different from ordering them on Spoonflower or previously, on Zazzle. Oh–I suppose it’s time to mention that I really had high hopes that this year, Spoonflower wouldn’t jump on the sin and self-destructive behavior bandwagon. But by June 14, they just couldn’t hold out any
I want to share with you a brief note about Spoonflower and Zazzle… and an entire month dedicated to sin and abomination. Last year, when Spoonflower went all out for sin and perversion for the month of June, I filed a complaint. I told them in no uncertain terms that they were hurting MY BUSINESS
